The Spring 2026 cohort of the SoReMo Initiative will present findings from six semester-long research projects from 12:45-2:30 p.m. Wednesday May 5 at the Perlstein Hall Auditorium. Eleven student-researchers tackled real-world problems in public policy, food distribution, the environment, dance, and public safety.

SoReMo empowers students to enact the positive societal change they are passionate about within Illinois Tech, Chicago, and beyond. SoReMo advocates for ethical, equitable approaches in computation, modeling, and design, contributing to the common good of Chicago and beyond through research and education initiatives at Illinois Tech.

The SoreMo Initiative is made possible by generous support from Joel Krauss (MATH '72), vice chair of College of Computing Board of Advisors, and Dr. Michela Coffaro, in memory of Josephine Coffaro and Leah Betts, to support Keeler Gardens.
