Title: Numerical Homogenization and Nonlocal Modeling for Transport

Abstract: In this talk, we consider a class of transport equations with memory effects. These equations arise as a result of homogenization or upscaling of linear transport equations in heterogeneous media and play an important role in many applications. We will discuss its relation to numerical homogenization and develop numerical schemes for accurate and efficient computation for this type of problem.
