Students who matriculate as first-year students are eligible for assistance from the university for a limited period of their first eight academic semesters (four years) at Illinois Institute of Technology—or 10 academic semesters (five years) for students in the College of Architecture.
In the event a student takes a leave of absence, the original scholarship will be valid for one year. Students who cease enrollment for longer than one year may have their scholarship eligibility re-evaluated. Exceptions to these policies must be approved by the Office of Financial Aid.
Appeals for a one-semester extension should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org. Students who may require a year-long course of study to meet their degree requirements should make their educational plans explicit in their appeal to the Office of Financial Aid. Additional information may be requested from the student and/or the student's adviser, the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs, or related offices before a decision is made.
NOTE: This does not include coursework taken while studying abroad through enrollment in a program that is not sponsored by Illinois Tech.
