Commencement 2023: A Landmark Event for a Landmark Achievement

Date

Commencement 2020 1280x850

On Saturday, May 13, 2023, Illinois Institute of Technology’s 2022–23 graduating class of 2,231 students will be celebrating a milestone in their lives and the start of a new chapter as they walk across the Commencement stage. For the first time in its history, Illinois Tech’s Commencement ceremonies will be held in the historic McCormick Place—a true Chicago landmark. It is a fitting venue to recognize the effort and perseverance that it took for them to reach this momentous day—including enduring and pushing through a worldwide pandemic, the ensuing changes it brought, and working to develop the skills to thrive in a quickly approaching, technology-driven Fourth Industrial Revolution.

To mark this occasion, Illinois Tech is highlighting seven students, one from each of the university’s colleges, who have demonstrated exemplary work and determination in their field. Each of these students shared their memorable experiences, the lessons they learned along the way, their future aspirations, and what Illinois Tech means to them.
