Great Lakes Wireless Leader Air2Access Marks 50-Marina Milestone with New Headquarters at IIT’s University Technology Park
Air2Access, the largest provider of wireless network technology to the Great Lakes marine industry, today announced it now serves over 50 marinas and yacht clubs with its Wi-Fi Hotspot offering. They also announce the relocation of their headquarters to IIT’s University Technology Park (UTP), which includes a partnership with IIT’s renowned Wireless Interference Lab.
Air2Access’ Wireless Internet access provides Boaters with easy-to-use, fast, reliable access to the Internet to surf, check e-mails, connect to a corporate VPN, or shop on-line. It also provides boaters with the ultimate flexibility to access critical boating information and stay connected with work, friends and family without having to leave their boats.

The new headquarters at IIT’s University Technology Park provides a flexible work space that suits the needs of its seasonal business while providing capacity to meets its quickly growing wireless networking business. The Air2Access technology team will interface directly with researchers from the Wireless Interference Lab, who are working to address the growing noise/interference temperature that challenges the increasing use of wireless networks. Air2Access customers will benefit from the latest developments in increasing the capacity and connectivity of wireless communications networks by intelligent management of temporal, spectral, and spatial resources.
