Hisatake Scores National Honor for Play On the Court

Fourth-Year Illinois Tech Hoops Player First to be Named to D3Hoops.com Team

Illinois Tech fourth-year basketball player Max Hisatake earned national honors January 14 for his play on the court during the week of January 6. 

Hisatake was named to the D3Hoops.com Men's Basketball Team of the Week after averaging 26.5 points, 15 rebounds, and 3 assists as the Scarlet Hawks went 1-1 across two Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference games. He is the first Scarlet Hawks player to earn the honor.

The 6-foot-8 center scored a career-high 34 points, to go along with 17 rebounds and five assists, in a 71–67 victory over Lakeland on January 11. He scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a loss to Wisconsin Lutheran on January 7. 

Histake (B.ARCH. 4th Year) averages a team-best 18.5 points and 12.8 rebounds for the Scarlet Hawks (5-8), who have won four of their last five games.
