Chicago, IL — April 21, 2005 —

Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) was once again named one of the top 81 “Best Value” colleges by the Princeton review. IIT is one of only four Illinois universities to be so honored.

"We used over 30 factors to rate the colleges in four categories: Academics, Tuition GPA (sticker price minus average amount students receive in scholarships and grants), Financial Aid (how well colleges meet students' financial need), and Student Borrowing. Bottom line: the 81 schools that met our criteria for this book are all great college education deals,” said Robert Franek, Princeton Review VP-Publishing.

The Princeton Review compiles data from 350 universities and surveys their students to determine which 81 schools the education services company commends for their outstanding academics, generous financial aid packages and relatively low costs. The list appears in the new 2006 edition of the Princeton Review book America’s Best Value Colleges, which went on sale this week. To view the entire list visit: www.princetonreview.com
