IIT Stuart’s Net Impact chapter is advised by Industry Associate Professor Ram Ramanan.

“We are honored to be included in the Net Impact guide, and to be recognized for our efforts in preparing students to make the business case for sustainability,” says M. Krishna Erramilli, Interim Associate Dean, Professor and Director of IIT Stuart’s graduate business programs. “Our students are passionate about making a meaningful impact in their careers and communities, and we appreciate all of the work that the students in the IIT Stuart chapter of Net Impact do to raise awareness about sustainability and social responsibility across the IIT campus.”

The M.S. Environmental Management and Sustainability program at Illinois Institute of Technology Stuart School of Business is the only program of its kind offered by a business school, preparing graduates who can assess environmental and sustainability issues from a business perspective. IIT Stuart students are uniquely prepared to bridge the gap between business managers and technical professionals to develop a strong business case for sustainability. Courses and project work cover areas including social enterprise, environmental finance, impact investing, ethics and corporate social responsibility, environmental and sustainability analytics, industrial ecology and supply chain sustainability.

In addition to the M.S. Environmental Management and Sustainability program, IIT Stuart offers an M.B.A. concentration in sustainability, as well as integrated core and capstone courses that emphasize sustainability concepts across the business and public administration programs. IIT Stuart hosts an annual Green Business Roundtable in Chicago each spring to connect students with environmental management professionals.
