Illinois Tech will host the 2023 Digital Universities U.S., a three-day event that will bring together higher education, industry, and policy leaders who are working at the intersection of academic innovation and technology.

The conference, which will take place May 1–3 on Mies Campus, will bring these leaders together to discuss and highlight new ideas, opportunities, and perspectives as the next phase of the digital transformation in education begins.

Times Higher Education and Inside Higher Ed are organizing the conference in partnership with Illinois Tech.

“Illinois Tech was born in Chicago more than 130 years ago with the noble mission of educating students from all walks of life to advance technology, innovation, and progress for all…Fueled by that founding mission, we are now embarking on an ambitious initiative to create a new type of university for the twenty-first century, one that reimagines education to ensure that learning is available to all learners, anytime, anywhere,” Illinois Tech President Raj Echambadi writes in a welcome statement to conference attendees.

“We know we are not the only institution on this journey. It is our privilege to welcome fellow innovators and thought leaders from around the world who are helping to chart a path to the possibilities we can build together,” Echambadi adds.

Discussion topics for more than 40 sessions include how to accelerate student achievement in the digital age, the transformation of assessments and teaching, and how to build a smart, green campus. More than 100 speakers will take part in the conference, including a multitude of Illinois Tech leaders, faculty, and staff members.
