Master of Management

Management (M.A.S.)

Our Master of Management program and your undergraduate major make a powerful combination to launch and advance your career.

The Master of Management program at Stuart School of Business is designed to expand the career prospects of students with non-business bachelor’s degrees, no matter what career path that they are pursuing.

The program’s broad-based training in business and management skills is particularly suited to students with undergraduate majors in any STEM and technical discipline, architecture, psychology, the humanities, and other fields, and for those who have limited or no professional work experience.

Employers value applicants who can bring cross-functional and cross-disciplinary skills to the organization. In our management program, you can develop the kinds of management skills—innovation, leadership, decision making, marketing, finance, operations, and more—that complement your expertise in your undergraduate field and make you more competitive in the job market. You’ll also be prepared to take on roles with management responsibilities that can accelerate your career progression.

The program’s training in core business and management skills positions you to be more competitive in the job market and to be equipped to take on roles with management responsibilities that can lead to career advancement.

Career Opportunities

The Master of Management program is a powerful complement to your undergraduate degree in engineering and other STEM fields, architecture, psychology, or other non-business disciplines. Our generalized managerial and business training, combined with your expertise and technical skills in your primary undergraduate field, can help you stand out to employers and move up into roles with management responsibilities in any type of business, government entity, or nonprofit organization.

This master’s degree also prepares you for entry-level business or management positions in marketing, operations, project management, product management, and finance.

According to Payscale, the average annual salary for master of management graduates is $79,000. The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics reports an overall median annual wage of $102,450 for professionals in management occupations in 2021 and projects that employment in management occupations will grow 8 percent from 2021 to 2031, faster than the average for all occupations.

Drawing on Stuart’s graduate programs in business administration and marketing analytics, our Master of Management program is designed to teach students with STEM, humanities, or other non-business backgrounds the core business and management skills essential to accelerate advancement in any career path.
