Illinois Tech’s Master of Pharmaceutical Engineering degree program—the first such program of its kind offered in the Chicago area—provides students with a strong foundation in pharmaceutical engineering, drug delivery, bioprocess engineering, and entrepreneurship/intellectual property management. Students will also have the opportunity to select from elective courses covering topics including crystal growth, cardiovascular fluid mechanics, and nanoscale imaging.

Please note that some programs designated as online require in-person coursework such as lab, classroom participation, or a thesis. As such, all courses will be offered fully online for the fall 2020 semester, however, some courses in subsequent semesters may require in-person attendance.

This program is open to students with undergraduate degrees in a range of engineering and science/mathematics majors. Each applicant will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis during the application review process to determine any deficiency course requirements. In some instances, students may be required to successfully complete undergraduate foundation courses.
