Polymer Science and Engineering (Minor)

Armour College of Engineering offers the Minor in Polymer Science and Engineering to help students enhance their studies and gain a broad foundation in the synthesis, processing, and design of polymers. This minor includes instruction in polymer manufacture, chemical properties, polymer applications, and related areas.

Students will be prepared to meet the demand for chemical engineers who understand chemical and mechanical properties of polymers, plastics, and composites. Coursework offerings may include such topics as polymerization reaction engineering, polymer chemistry laboratory, and polymer character and analysis.
