The Illinois Tech Honors Program provides a space for motivated undergraduate students to experience enhanced opportunities in research, academics, and service learning. Students who successfully complete the Honors Program will receive an honors cord and honors designation on their college transcript.
While in the Honors Program, students will have the opportunity to:
- Participate in a cross-disciplinary learning community throughout the academic year
- Access co-curricular activities to enhance their learning experience
- Complete an honors thesis comprised of their own original research in their field of study
Students who complete the Honors Program will graduate with a holistic educational experience that includes experiential learning, service learning, and increased self-efficacy. Honors students are motivated to explore, excel, and inspire others through their personal experiences.

The Honors Program is reserved for those with a passion for experiential learning, groundbreaking research, and selfless service, this prestigious program offers a transformative educational experience. There are two ways in which students can be a part of this program:
- Projective undergraduate students will be nominated into the honors program during the application review
- Enrolled Illinois Tech students can apply to be part of the Honors Program.

Applications for the Honors Program will open in the 2024-2025 academic year.
