Why did you choose your major/what do you want to do with your degree?
I chose to be an environmental chemistry major because I love chemistry, but I am also interested in climate change science, atmospheric science, and renewable energy. I feel that these are important applications of chemistry.
What is your favorite thing about the Camras Scholars Program?
I enjoy the Camras Scholars Program because I am a part of a group of motivated and driven students that can help push me to do my best.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years?
I'd like to be involved in analyzing the effects that new forms of energy have on the environment by examining how certain chemicals affect the atmosphere and ocean.
How do you think you best represent what it means to be a Camras scholar?
I received the Outstanding Young Women in Chemistry Award from the Iota Sigma Pi National Honor Society for Women in Chemistry in 2021. During the summer of 2023, I had a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) internship at the University of Maryland in Baltimore County where I participated in research focused on studying Particulate Matter and its health effects.
