Why did you choose your major/what do you want to do with your degree?

I initially chose Biomedical Engineering because it was a combination of biology, math, chemistry, and physics which were all subjects I really enjoyed in high school. As I got more into my major, I became more and more confident that Biomedical engineering is what I want to do.

What is your favorite thing about the Camras Scholars Program?

I like how the Camras Scholars Program provides us with a lot of opportunities such as the pillars project, volunteering, and we just were able to get free professional headshots last semester.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

Hopefully working in neuroengineering in research and development!

How do you think you best represent what it means to be a Camras scholar?

Last semester I participated in IIT's RESMATCH program where I conducted a one semester biomedical engineering research project in Dr. Tichauer's Lab. In this lab, I helped research improved detection of insufficient surgical margins in head and neck cancer surgery.
