Why did you choose your major/what do you want to do with your degree?

I have always been very passionate about math and science and became very interested in chemical engineering through my engineering electives in high school. As of right now, I want to use my degree in the medical devices field because the research and development of these products is really interesting to me and it's a way for me to use my degree to help others.

What is your favorite thing about the Camras Scholars Program?

My favorite thing about the Camras program is the fact that it has provided me the opportunity to pursue two degrees in five years at this university, while alleviating financial burden from my family and I.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

In 20 years, I hope to have a successful engineer as a chemical engineer and to have impacted people in a positive way.

How do you think you best represent what it means to be a Camras scholar?

I was a First Year Experience mentor last semester. I helped acclimate new students to IIT by providing mentorship, guidance, and resources. I was apart of the first executive board for the Art Club on campus and am currently the treasurer. I also have had two summer internships at Abbott where I led the execution of two separate projects, and gained professional development.
