Despite making countless decisions daily, decision-making is not a common practice. By integrating Decision Quality into education and professional development, Illinois Tech aims to bridge this gap and prepare students and industry leaders to navigate complex challenges with confidence.
Our Vision
Illinois Tech aims to be the global leader in applied Decision Quality education, prioritizing practical applications over theoretical discussions to ensure learner success. Beyond enhancing its own community, the university aspires to establish itself as the foremost institution in Decision Quality education, earning global recognition and becoming the first university to receive the Raiffa-Howard Award for Organizational Decision Quality.
Three Core Workstreams
- Internal Capability Development – Training students, faculty, and staff to apply Decision Quality in academic and professional settings.
- Curriculum Integration – Embedding Decision Quality principles into courses, developing learning modules, and integrating project-based learning tools to ensure students gain hands-on experience applying DQ frameworks.
- External Outreach & Industry Collaboration – Building strategic partnerships with industry leaders, hosting educational webinars, developing online decision-making resources, and expanding Decision Quality applications beyond academia.
