Abstract: This presentation will provide an overview of some of the most unresolved areas - theoretically and empirically - in the social sciences, broadly defined. Professor Matthew Shapiro (Social Sciences, IIT) will sketch these issues, make connections to his own past and present research, and offer avenues for fostering interdisciplinary research and curricula across the university.
