Ruth Lopez-McCarthy

From doorknocking just out of college to her current position as the Illinois Department of Human Services’ senior Emerson immigration fellow, Ruth Lopez-McCarthy (LAW ’09) has spent her life fighting for immigrants’ rights. At one point, the constant battle almost got the better of her.
