Congratulations Loretta Sutkus and Shreya Jha, two Lewis College of Human Sciences students who were recognized at the 42nd annual Clinton E. Styker Awards Banquet. The banquet honors students who have made notable contributions to campus life at Illinois Tech.

Outstanding Student Employee of the Year

Third-year psychology major Loretta Sutkus received the Outstanding Student Employee of the Year Award for her service to One Stop. Loretta has worked at One Stop for two years and has willingly taken on additional responsibilities this last year as two full-time employees left the office. Her nominator said, “Even when days are gloomy Loretta has such a positive attitude you can't help but be happy when you’re around her. I know the One Stop is in good hands when I have to leave Loretta in charge.”

Clinton E. Stryker Distinguished Service Award

Shreya Jha, a fourth-year psychology major, was a recipient of the Stryker Distinguished Service Award. Shreya was nominated for the award for her work with the Chicago Public Schools Testing Center on campus as well as her service to her fellow students through several counseling roles. She served as a peer career coach for Career Services and helped classmates by reviewing resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles. She also helped establish Lewis College’s first peer counselor program, where she served as the first peer counselor by proving guidance to help students deal with issues related to balancing school, work, and home life.
