CAEE Adjunct Professor Edoarda Corradi Dell’acqua To Present at International Architecture Exhibition

Armour College of Engineering CAEE Department Adjunct Professor and alumna Edoarda Corradi Dell’acqua (M.S. Civil Engineering, 2010) will present her project Big Mac Redux in Venice, Italy at the 14th International Architecture Exhibition on Saturday, June 7, 2014. The Venice Biennale has been one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the world for over a century and every other year it organizes an international Architectural event. This year’s edition is titled Fundamentals and is curated by Rem Koolhaas, who designed The McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC) on IIT’s main campus.

Dell’acqua expressed her excitement about being asked to present her project at La Biennale, “This was a project that I developed at IIT during the last year of my MS degree when I attended a studio class with Prof. Tim Brown in the College of Architecture.” For the project, the team re-envisioned the McCormick Place East Building in Chicago as an indoor park. The design team was composed of Dell’acqua, Irene Matteini (M.S. Architecture, 2009), and Tim Brown, Studio Associate Professor, IIT College of Architecture.
