Brent Stephens, Assistant Professor of Architectural Engineering in Armour College of Engineering's Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering Department, was interviewed by CBS 2 about his research into the emissions from 3D printers. In the CBS interview, Dr. Stephens shares what he has learned about the harmful particles emitted by 3D printers and offers his recommendations on how to make them safe.

Dr. Stephens published this research in Environmental Science & Technology under the title Emissions of Ultrafine Particles and Volatile Organic Compounds from Commercially Available Desktop Three-Dimensional Printers with Multiple Filaments.
