CAEE Student Awarded Illinois Association of Highway Engineers Scholarship

Armour College of Engineering student Sean Hahn (CAEE, 3rd Year) was recently selected as the recipient of the 2014 Illinois Association of Highway Engineers (IAHE) Grant Shaw Memorial Scholarship.

The IAHE was founded in 1936 and is an organization for trasportation professionals employed by the Illinois Department of Transportation and its partners. The organization focuses on increasing the professional development and social welfare of its members, fostering professional ethics, and promoting professional education through scholarships.

Hahn was awarded the scholarship based on his GPA and a statement outlining his qualifications and career goals. “This $1,000 scholarships will help me pay for next semester’s tuition and textbooks,” shared Hahn.

The scholarship will be formally awarded to Hahn on June 17, 2014 during the monthly IAHE Schaumburg Chapter meeting at the Alta Villa Restaurant in Addison, Illinois.
