IIT Stuart Undergraduates Showcase Work at Summer 2013 IPRO Day

Date

On July 26, twelve student teams exhibited as part of Summer 2013 IPRO Day.

The Interprofessional Projects (IPRO) Program at IIT provides students with a team-based learning environment in which students from various concentrations and disciplines work together to solve a real-world problem.

Held each semester, IPRO Day is a chance for students to showcase their work, presenting to a variety of judges including faculty, industry professionals, and graduate students. Four IIT Stuart undergraduate students participated in the Summer 2013 IPRO program.

IIT Stuart students worked on projects ranging from using data sensors to help caregivers and elderly people in their care, to using social innovation to solve global problems, to offering business applications for spent grain from brewing, to using gaming technology to enhance rehabilitation.

Special congratulations to IIT Stuart student Soobin Kim and her group on IPRO 340: Business Study of Alternative use of Brewer’s Spent Grain for earning the Best Video Award, and to Miriam Gonzalez and her team on IPRO 305: Serious Games for Rehabilitation for winning Best in Track 2: Usability, Productivity, Technology.
