Illinois Tech ITM students win "Best Dangerous Demo" at ClueCon 2017

Illinois Tech students recently participated in and won the vote for best Dangerous Demo at ClueCon. ITM students presented Web-based Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) which is a Web-based Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) that receives requests or emergency services from callers using either Web- or SIP-based services will be demonstrated and described. The caller's applications as well as the PSAP solution, will be described and demonstrated. Open source applications used to create the solution will be explained. The WebRTC PSAP displays the address, room and floor as well as the geographic coordinates of the caller. Indoor location is provided by BlueTooth Low energy beacons as demonstrated at ClueCon 2016.

Members of the Illinois Tech student team who developed and operate the solution are: Enzo Piacenza, Nicolas Deschamps, Francisco Rois, Adrian Calle-Murillo, Chakib Ljazouli, and Nathan Sowie. Joe Cusimano, RTC Lab Mentor, will support the demonstration.

ClueCon is a conference for developers by developers: an annual technology conference held every summer hosted by the team behind the FreeSWITCH open-source project. The Conference focus is to gather various open source projects to discuss Voice over IP, open-source software and hardware, Telecommunications, WebRTC, and IoT. ClueCon is know for being at the intersection of communication and technology and for having a love all things technical.
