Attention Graduates:

When and how do I apply for a degree conferral?

NOW! The deadline for degree conferral is February 3rd. This is a university deadline, not a deadline set by the commencement committee. To access the application, go to the Student Records link under the Academics tab in the myIIT portal.

Each student MUST fill out the Degree Conferral paperwork BEFORE they RSVP. You should also wait one week before you RSVP for this paperwork can get processed. Otherwise you will get an error.

How do I get commencement ceremony tickets for my friends and family?

In order to receive tickets for Commencement, you MUST RSVP by February 17th. Note that tickets cannot be awarded unless you have already applied for a degree conferral a week earlier (see above question).

Who Is eligible to attend?

December 2013, Spring (May) 2014 and Summer (August) 2014* graduating students. *If you are not graduating until Summer you still do attend.

How will I know if I RSVP’d correctly?

IIT Marketing & Communications will send out emails every Friday to students who have filled out the RSVP form, letting those student know IIT is aware they have RSVP’d.
