INTM Student Receives Scholarship from the Materials Handling & Management Society (MHMS) Chicagoland Chapter

Date

Masters of Industrial Operations (MITO) student, Raghuveer Cumar, was recently awarded a scholarship from the MHMS Chicagoland Chapter to use toward his education in the INTM program. He was one of just two scholarship recipients who were selected based on their interest in the Materials Handling profession, as demonstrated through letters of recommendation from faculty, and submission of an academic paper to MHMS. His paper was titled, “A Quick Glimpse at Two of the Current Drivers of Picking Automation at Warehouses and Distribution Centers (DC’s) pertaining to the Retail Industry”. Raghuveer hopes to pursue a career in the Logistics/Supply Chain field when he receives his Master’s degree.

In September, 2014 MHMS will host a student networking event for those interested in their 2014 scholarships. Raghuveer is invited to speak with attendees, and help the MHMS Board raise additional funds to continue their scholarship program. Information about MHMS and other professional associations is available on the INTM website under the Students tab by clicking on Extracurricular Activities.
