I/O Psychology Faculty Opening

Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Illinois Institute of Technology. The I/O program at IIT is seeking an Assistant Professor (tenure track) to begin Fall 2016. Ideal candidates will complement and strengthen the current program faculty, with preference for individuals conducting research in the areas of training and performance management. In addition to research and graduate (M.S. & Ph.D.) supervision, candidates will be expected to teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses. The I/O program offers balanced training in both I and O psychology topics and adheres to a scientist/practitioner model of training. Current areas of strength include methodology, leadership, work family conflict, diversity and cross-cultural research, selection, assessment, personality, and occupational health psychology. Located in the great city of Chicago, the I/O program is housed within the Department of Psychology in the Lewis College of Human Sciences. In addition to the graduate program in I/O, the Department of Psychology has a growing undergraduate program, and also has graduate programs in Clinical and Rehabilitation Psychology. The Center for Research and Service is an on-site consulting center that draws on our close affiliations with industry across the world, providing training and funding for students and supporting student and faculty research efforts.

Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field, evidence of excellence in teaching, and potential for programmatic research and scholarly publication.
