Kaplan Institute Executive Director Named a ‘Notable Entrepreneur’ by Crain’s Chicago Business

Howard Tullman, executive director of Illinois Institute of Technology’s Ed Kaplan Family Institute for Innovation and Tech Entrepreneurship, has been selected to Crain’s Chicago Business’s Notable Entrepreneurs list. Individuals picked for inclusion on the Notable Entrepreneurs list have made a significant impact within Chicago’s business community.

A serial entrepreneur who has founded more than a dozen high-tech companies, Tullman recognized “the need for well-trained and diverse technical talent in engineering, computer science, and data analytics,” according to the Crain’s article. He is addressing just that in his current role.

Through the Kaplan Institute, Tullman ensures that Illinois Tech students are provided the resources to acquire the innovation, design, and entrepreneurship skills needed to succeed in the modern job market and connects them to Chicago-area employers in critical industries.
