New Intervention Program Teaches Career Skills to High School Students with Autism

Associate Professors of Psychology Nicole Ditchman and Eun-Jeong Lee are collaborating on the launch of a new intervention program aimed at helping high school students with autism spectrum disorder to develop work-related social skills. The program will run in eight to 10 schools in Illinois and Michigan between 2019 and 2021, and is funded by a $1.4 million grant from the United States Department of Defense. Ditchman and Lee are working in partnership with researchers at the Michigan State University to execute the program.
