Maurice Dawson on the Road with Route Fifty

Digital and events media brand Route Fifty is keeping state and local governments across America in the loop by enabling them to share best practices and innovative solutions to key challenges. Illinois Institute of Technology’s Maurice Dawson, assistant professor and director of the Center for Cyber Security and Forensics Education at the School of Applied Technology, was a featured speaker in the Route Fifty Roadshow event on November 7, 2019.

The Roadshow event traveled to five cities (Austin, Texas; Chicago; Miami; New York; and Sacramento, California), with a different theme and local experts featured at each city. The theme of the Chicago event was the internet of things, one of Dawson’s specialty areas. His presentation, “Security Solutions for Hyperconnectivity in the Internet of Things,” can be viewed as a video link.

Produced by the Government Executive Media Group of Atlantic Media, the award-winning Route Fifty covers news, technology, innovation, and best practices in state, county, and municipal governments.
