Password Reset Instructions

NOTE: If you have not yet enabled password recovery and you need to reset your password, please contact the OTS Support Desk or ITS Help Desk. A staff member will ask you to verify some personal information; once your identity is confirmed, they will reset your password.

You will want to enable additional password-recovery options. Please see the Set Up Password Recovery Options page for step-by-step instructions.

You can reset your password directly from the Access Illinois Tech login page.

  1. Click the Need help signing in? option at the bottom of the sign-in panel, and then select Forgot Password in the expanded menu.
  2. Enter your university email address or username and select how you would like your password to be reset. The options you see will depend on the recovery options you previously configured.

    The Recovery Options Are

    1. Reset via SMS (text);
    2. Reset via Voice Call; and/or
    3. Reset via Email.

  3. You will be sent instructions to reset your password according to the method you have chosen. Follow the prompts.
  4. You will be asked to enter the answer to your security question.
  5. After you follow the prompts, your Access Illinois Tech password will be updated across all of your devices. Once you have updated your university password, your password will be updated in all related systems. You will need to update your password for services configured on your mobile device.

If you do not receive an email, text, or call after a few minutes, or if you experience other issues resetting your password, please contact the Support Desk/ITS Help Desk for assistance.
