The Department of Computer Science at the College of Computing at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago invites applications for multiple tenure-track, tenured, and teaching faculty positions. The Department of Computer Science offers bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science, as well as bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Artificial Intelligence, a master’s degree in Cybersecurity, and interdisciplinary master’s degrees in Data Science and Computational Decision Science and Operations Research. It boasts a wide range of cutting-edge funded research activity, as well as multiple externally-funded research faculty positions. The department’s graduate program in CS is ranked #83 by the 2023-2024 US News & World Report and is on an upward trajectory.

Applicants for tenure-track and tenured positions must have a Ph.D. in computer science or a closely related field at the start of the appointment and should have demonstrated significant research accomplishment and commitment to excellence in teaching. Applicants for teaching faculty positions must have a minimum of M.S. or equivalent (Ph.D. is strongly preferred) in computer science or a closely related field at the start of the appointment and should demonstrate dedication and commitment to student success and educational innovation.
