Commencement 2020 1280x850

On Saturday, May 17, 2025, Illinois Institute of Technology’s 2024–25 graduating class of 3,818 students will celebrate a milestone at Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago during the university’s 156th Commencement ceremony.

Commencement day radiates feelings of excitement and accomplishment, bringing friends, family, and the Illinois Tech community together to reflect on the endless effort and perseverance exhibited to get to that momentous day. Though no journey is without its challenges, this year’s graduating class persisted through it all. Now they will set forth with the industry-aligned skills they’ve developed at Illinois Tech to become tech-focused leaders in an ever-evolving society.

To mark this occasion, Illinois Tech is highlighting seven students, one from each of the university’s colleges, who have demonstrated exemplary work and determination in their field. Each of these students shared their memorable experiences, the lessons they learned along the way, their future aspirations, and what Illinois Tech means to them.
