Footlik Scholarship Awarded for 2011-12

Date

Industrial Technology and Management is pleased to announce the 2011-12 award of the Irving M. Footlik Scholarship to Anthony DiValerio, a transfer student from Oakton Community College who began his INTM studies as a full-time student this fall. The scholarship covers 50% tuition for four courses during the first year of attendance. The award was presented at a recent luncheon by Mrs. Sylvia Footlik and her son, Robert B. Footlik (IE ’68), on behalf of the Irving M. and Sylvia Footlik Foundation.

This endowed scholarship was established in memory of Mr. Irving M. Footlik (ME ’39), a dedicated and involved IIT alumnus who, together with his wife Sylvia, gave time, attention and financial support to multiple campus initiatives and student projects. The scholarship is in place to benefit students who obtain practical training at a community college and transfer to IIT to pursue the Bachelor of Industrial Technology and Management (BINTM) with a specialization in Industrial Logistics.
