Herb Shields and INTM Graduate Studies Students to Present at CSCMP Spring Conference

INTM’s Career Development Advisor and Adjunct Professor, Herb Shields is scheduled to lead a break-out session at the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Annual Spring Seminar on April 8, 2014. In addition to teaching for INTM, Shields is President, HCS Consulting. He helps clients across multiple industries and in higher education improve their supply chain strategy and execution. In Shield’s session, A Discussion with the New Generation of Supply Chain Professionals, a group of students from IIT’s graduate studies program will present their findings from recently completed projects related to supply chain issues.

The CSCMP Spring Seminar, Supply Chain in the Boardroom: The Evolution of the Chief Supply Chain Officer, is a full day of professional lectures and break-out sessions focusing on how supply chain management has secured its place at the boardroom table. A general session features 'thought leaders' and moderators from Tompkins International, Supply Chain Insights, Stratman Partners, and Arrow Stream who will discuss the Evolution of the Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) and supply chain's importance in the C-Suite. Some of the other hot topics of the break-out sessions include 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing, Natural Gas, Managerial Analytics, Intro to the Supply Chain Index, Military Logistics, Talent and Leadership.

The event will be held at McDonald’s Hamburger University in Oakbrook, Illinois. It is open to both CSCMP members and non-members, and advance registration is required. Click here for information.
