What you disclose in your therapy and psychiatry sessions is rigorously kept confidential within the SHWC. Some important exceptions to this include information about child or elder abuse, serious risk to human life, and court orders. What you share with your clinician does not leave the office (for example, information would not be shared with your professor, employer, or made a part of your academic record), and is the cornerstone of trust between you and your therapist.
