Counselor and Teacher Tours

A high school counselor attending a campus visit event

High school counselors and teachers play an important role in students’ college decision-making process. Illinois Tech hosts special counselor visit day opportunities just for counselors and teachers. We also offer group tours, which  allow counselors and teachers to accompany their students to our Mies Campus in Chicago so that students also are able explore our university firsthand.

Group Visits

Illinois Tech’s Office of Undergraduate Admission offers opportunities for groups of up to 50 students to visit campus.

Group visits are intended for either college-bound high school students (9th–12th grade), or community college transfer students. Each visit includes a 30–45 minute information session with an admission counselor and an hour-long tour of campus with a current student.

REGISTER FOR A GROUP VISIT

A few notes on group visits:

  • One chaperone is required for every 15 high school students on a group tour
  • Group tours must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance of the desired date
  • Group tours are not available on evenings and weekends

Due to the high volume of requests, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all group tour requests. We do not provide group visits to elementary or middle school students.
