The Office of Undergraduate Admission offers daily information sessions, campus tours, and admission counselor appointments every Monday through Friday throughout the year. Choose the activities that best fit your needs.

Admission counselor appointments are designed to give you an opportunity to talk with an admission counselor individually about the application process and general Illinois Tech questions. These are not interviews and are not required as part of the admissions process, although they may be extremely beneficial to you in the search process. Learn more about the university and have your detailed questions answered.

Campus tours are led by our student ambassadors. Tours include a residence hall, The McCormick Tribune Campus Center, a classroom overview, and the library. Walking tours last approximately 75 minutes.

Lunch with current students gives you a free bite in our all-you-can-eat on-campus dining hall, The Commons. Lunch is offered from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m., when current students are available to join you for lunch.

Sit in on a class, talk to a professor, or meet with an athletics coach. These extra activities require some advance notice and may not be available every day, but we will do our best to accommodate all requests.

We offer the following appointment and tour times*:

9:15 a.m.—Admission counselor appointment
10 a.m.—Campus tour
11:15 a.m.—Admission counselor appointment
11:30 a.m.—Lunch with current students

High School Spring Break Visits

We invite high school students to visit Illinois Tech during their spring break.

Immerse yourself in the day-to-day life of an Illinois Tech student. During the spring and fall semester, you can stay overnight with a student host to learn what it's like to be a part of our community. You will experience living in one of our residence halls, eating in The Commons, and meeting numerous current students. Go on a campus tour, speak with an admissions counselor, sit in on a class, or even meet with a professor. This option is available only to current high school seniors or transfer students.
