Why did you choose your major/what do you want to do with your degree?

I chose astrophysics because of my love for the cosmos, and my desire to learn more about how the universe works. I want to do research in the astrophysics or physics field in the future.

What is your favorite thing about the Camras Scholars Program?

My favorite thing about the Camras Scholars Program is that there is no shortage of opportunities to network or get involved with the university.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

In 20 years, I see myself having completed my Bachelor's and Master's degree, possibly working toward a PhD, and doing research in a national lab, such as Argonne or Fermilab. I am especially interested in the DUNE experiment at Fermilab.

How do you think you best represent what it means to be a Camras scholar?

Over the course of my senior year, I volunteered at my local weekend religious academy as a teaching assistant for the Special Needs Program there, as a means of serving my community. I also lead and organized a dinner event my second semester of high school for the Muslim Students' Association, as president.
