Major and Graduation

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Expected Graduation: 2027

Why did you choose your major/what do you want to do with your degree?

I majored in electrical engineering because I felt it was a very versatile degree. I hope to one day use my degree to work in renewable energy or energy storage.

What is your favorite thing about the Camras Scholars Program?

My favorite thing about the Camras Scholars program has been all of the opportunities that have been offered to me. Whether I decide to join a preexisting project or start one of my own, all the resources I need are at my disposal thanks to the Camras Scholarship Program.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

In 20 years, I envision myself at the forefront of innovative technological advancements and contributing significantly to the field of sustainable energy. I see myself working in a leading research institution or a cutting-edge technology company, collaborating with brilliant minds to solve complex engineering challenges related to the climate crisis.

How do you think you best represent what it means to be a Camas Scholar?

During high school I was a co-president of the Envirolution club which aimed to raise environmental awareness through "trashion" shows, assemblies and classroom mentoring by calling audience members to action on environmental issues in their community. I also completed a ten week research project looking at the effect of utility poles on local plant life, and presented my findings to other student researchers and community leaders.
