Why did you choose your major/what do you want to do with your degree?
I've always been around computers my whole life, and enjoy building them, so I wanted to go into either Computer Science or Computer Engineering. I have a little more experience with coding than electrical engineering, so I went the CS route. Ultimately, I hope to work at a FAANG company once I graduate.
What is your favorite thing about the Camras Scholars Program?
Meeting people and seeing the ways people give back to the community through pillar projects.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years?
I see myself making enough money to comfortably support myself and my family, ideally working at a big tech company.
How do you think you best represent what it means to be a Camas Scholar?
For the past 5 or 6 years I have been volunteering in my church, both for the childcare ministry and also as a guitarist in the youth ministry worship band.
