Why did you choose your major/what do you want to do with your degree?

As I want to attend law school after undergrad, I believe it’s important for me to learn and specialize in the many disciplines of humanities like history, philosophy, literature, and linguistics.

What is your favorite thing about the Camras Scholars Program?

I enjoy the fact that the Camras Program has many opportunities to get involved on and off campus while still encouraging academic achievement.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

I hope to see myself either having my own civil rights law firm or working as a legislative attorney for a state agency or government.

How do you think you best represent what it means to be a Camas Scholar?

In spring of 2023, I had the privilege of participating in Nevada Reading Week. During the week, myself and other student council members went to local elementary schools in Las Vegas, Nevada and read to different classrooms of children from grades Pre-K through 5th grade. As Nevada has the sixth lowest literacy rate in the country, we believed that it was imperative to spread awareness about the enjoyable act of reading and facilitate conversations about literacy.
