Commencement RSVP for Faculty
Illinois Institute of Technology’s annual Commencement ceremony is a time for faculty to celebrate the accomplishments of Illinois Tech students. Faculty not only educate, but also inspire our students—both during our students’ time at the university and throughout their lives.
The deadline to RSVP for the Commencement ceremony is March 29, 2024.
Commencement Day Instructions
Robing
All faculty and staff should report for robing at University of Illinois Chicago’s Credit Union 1 Arena on Saturday, May 11. For the first college ceremony (Institute of Design, College of Architecture, and College of Computing), check-in is from 7–8 a.m. For the second college ceremony (Armour College of Engineering, Lewis College of Science and Letters, and Stuart School of Business), check-in is from noon–1 p.m.
Note: You must pick up your robe prior to attending your college ceremony. Regalia will not be available onsite.
Faculty line up will begin promptly at 8:40 a.m. for the first college ceremony; 1:40 p.m. for the second college ceremony.
At the ceremony’s conclusion, faculty must return their regalia before departing. Return locations will be finalized closer to the event date.
Ph.D. Hooding Ceremony
The Ph.D. Hooding Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 10 at Hermann Hall, McCormick Auditorium. For any questions regarding Ph.D. hooding, please contact Jonathan Harmon at jharmon4@iit.edu.
