- Executive Director, Institute for Food Safety and Health
Brian is currently the Executive Director of the Institute for Food Safety and Health and Industry Professor in Food Science and Nutrition at Illinois Tech. He has experience leading teams in food and dietary supplements in areas such as regulation, safety, GMPs, method development, claims substantiation and research working closely with trade groups, industry, academia, and government leaders. Brian has a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University and a B.A. in chemistry with a minor in biology from Central College in Iowa. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 publications and presentations.
