Elizabeth J. Durango-Cohen is Associate Professor of Operations Management, M. Zia Hassan Endowed Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Stuart School of Business. She is also the Assistant Director of the M.S. in Marketing Analytics program and Executive Director of the Center for Advancing Corporate Performance.Dr. Durango-Cohen completed her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at the University of California, Berkeley where she worked in the area of production planning and inventory control in the context of supply chain management.
Durango-Cohen’s current research efforts focus on the interface of Marketing and Operations to support fundraising efforts at not-for-profit institutions.This work is supported by a grant by the National Science Foundation.Dr. Durango-Cohen has held Visiting Associate Professor positions in the department of Managerial Economics and Decision Sciences at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and in the Industrial Engineering and Management department at the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion) in Haifa, Israel. Durango-Cohen is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
She’s also the recipient of the 2016 Excellence in Teaching Award for the Stuart School of Business. Durango-Cohen’s work is published in academic journals including Production and Operations Management, the European Journal of Operations Management, and Management Science.
