New Program as of Fall 2022: Master of Science in Sensor Science and Technology
The new program will address the increasing demand of interdisciplinary training in sensor science and technology, and the program is one of a kind in the Chicagoland area and nationwide. The program aligns with the university’s priorities, particularly in promoting “cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary research and education that builds on our strengths and emphasizes both theory and practice” and in “fully realize our identity as the premier technology-focused university”. The program benefits from its connection with ICSSE, whose members are sensor experts in academia and industry, and will host students for projects and thesis research. A key element of this program is to bring hands-on sensor research experience to each student.
