Improvements to Additive Manufacturing

Assistant Professor Amir Mostafaei has received an NSF CAREER award that aims to make production more cost-effective and sustainable across various additive manufacturing processes. “This grant has opened new horizons in metal additive manufacturing by introducing a new class of feedstock for various powder-based additive manufacturing processes, including laser powder bed fusion, electron beam melting, and binder jetting,” says Mostafaei.
