The Crossroads of Student Life
The McCormick Tribune Campus Center is the place to eat, study, and relax on Mies Campus. Its unique design is the result of an international competition, won by architect Rem Koolhaas, whose design included a 530-foot steel tube that surrounds the Green Line “L” train tracks that pass above the building. The MTCC is home to the student-run radio station WIIT—whose lineup of DJs has included former Illinois Tech President Alan W. Cramb—the ever-growing Illinois Tech Esports organization, and lots of delicious food, including the university’s own branded hot sauce, Tech Yeah!
