Center for Sports Innovation

The Center for Sports Innovation at Illinois Institute of Technology serves as a research and development hub for a wide variety of technologically related subjects, systems, and businesses that impact the world of sports. The Center combines academic inquiry, commercial development, and psychological and scientific approaches to athletic performance to enhance the sports industry’s progress embracing both technological and physiological improvements that result.

Our core faculty researchers, representing most colleges at Illinois Tech—Chicago’s only technology-focused university—partner with industry leaders who are interested in cutting-edge advancements in sports-related technologies and innovations. Their labs also serve as business incubators for students interested in this exciting field. Additionally, the Center oversees several course offerings specific to sports development and economics.
